Gladys M. Kukelhan, 85 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in the Woodcrest Nursing Center. She was born on Thursday, September 1, 1927 in Allen County, Indiana the daughter of the late Herman E. Fiedler and the late Hortense (Flaharty) Fiedler. She married Albert Kukelhan on April 12, 1947 and he passed away on February 9, 2001. Gladys was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling and the Ladies Aid of the church. She retired in 1989 from Bellmont High School; where she was the manager of the cafeteria for ten years, and she had also worked part time at Evergreen Court Apartments and Woodcrest. Survivors include her son, John W. Kukelhan of Indianapolis; daughter, Joanne M. (Joseph) Barga of Elida, Ohio; son, Kenneth W. Kukelhan of Decatur; son, Scott A. (Paula) Kukelhan of Middleburg, Florida; daughter, Laura R. (James) Linder of Decatur; and sister, Doris (Pete) Rigby of New Haven. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Chris (Michelle) Kukelhan, Sam (Traci) Kukelhan, Jeff Barga, Matthew (Brigette) Barga, Sarah (Kevin) Pohlman, Benjamin (Katie) Linder, Michael (Stephanie) Linder, Jocelyn Linder, Emily Linder, and Stevee Kukelhan; four step-grandchildren, Phil Hall, Kiri (Brian) Braun, Kirk Wittwer, Jenna Wittwer; nine great-grandchildren, Colin Barga, Jack Barga, Claire Pohlman, Leo Pohlman, Cole Kukelhan, Leah Kukelhan, Alexis Linder, Lucas Linder, and Parker Kukelhan; and two step great-grandchildren, Audrey Hall and Bronwyn Hall. Preceding Gladys in death were a brother, Robert Fiedler and a sister, Alberta Schaper. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2012 in the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling with Pastor Martin Moehring officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Fuelling. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday, December 15 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church on Sunday.
