Suzanne K. "Suzie" Stephenson, 65 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 the result of an accident on US 30 at Doyle Road in New Haven, Indiana She was born on Saturday, July 12, 1947 in Defiance, Ohio the daughter of the late James F. Miller and the late Mary (Kirtley) Miller. She married Richard A. "Rich" Stephenson on May 20, 1980 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Suzie was a member of the St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville and was the St. Joseph School Librarian from 1995-1997. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Monroeville for nineteen years and a former member of the Monroeville Town Council for eighteen years. She was a graduate of Lakeland High School Class of 1965 in LaGrange, Indiana. Suzie enjoyed gardening, reading, friends, and her grandchildren. She had been employed by Manheim Vehicle Auction as a block clerk from August of 1996 to 2012. She had previously been employed at the Michelin Plant in Woodburn, Indiana as a clerk/receptionist for fourteen years retiring in 1996; the Monroeville Box & Pallet as office manager for five years; the Lincoln Bank & Peoples Bank for ten years; and International Harvester for seven years. Surviving are her husband, Rich Stephenson of Monroeville; daughter, Christine K. (Gary) Castleman of Monroeville; son, Michael M. (Kate) Stephenson of Indianapolis; step-daughter, Carey A. (Scott) Minnich of Convoy, Ohio; step-son, Anthony A. (Amanda Vandermotten) Stephenson of New Haven; sister, Rebecca A. (James) Hiser of Fremont, Ohio; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel with Rev. Richard Pickering officiating. Burial will be at Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville. Preferred memorials are to St. Joseph Catholic School Centenary Fund, Monroeville EMS, or Monroeville Volunteer Fire Department.
