Bonnie Mae Feagler

Bonnie Mae Feagler, 82 years old of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, since 2005 and previously of rural New Haven, Indiana for many years, passed away at 10:42 p.m. on Sunday, January 20, 2013 in the DuPont Hospital located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on Saturday, March 15, 1930 in Allen County, Indiana. She married the late Melvin J. Feagler on May 19, 1951 in the St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church-New Haven, Indiana and he passed away on October 11, 2000. Bonnie was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was a graduate of New Haven High School Class of 1948. Bonnie enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and volunteering at Parkview Hospital, the Dove's Nest, and Park Hill Center in New Haven, Indiana. Bonnie was a school bus driver for the East Allen County School System for 34 years, retiring in the spring of 2001. Surviving are her daughter, Suzanne J. David of Ft. Wayne, IN; son, Richard J. (Patricia) Feagler of Ft. Wayne, IN; son, Robert Kent (Joyce) Feagler of Ft. Wayne, IN; brother, James E. (Beverly) Grotrian of Ft. Wayne, IN; sister, Beverly J. (Allen) Dabney of New Haven, IN; sister, Nancy K. (Steven) Bitner of Ft. Wayne, IN; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and twin great-granddaughters on the way. Preceding Bonnie in death were her Mother, Lucille (Bolyard) Grotrian; step-father, Carl Grotrian; sister, Patricia A. Scheumann; son-in-law, Herb David. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 in the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception with Rev. Msgr. Robert Schulte officiating. Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven, IN. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana and from 9:00 a.m. until service time Thursday at the Cathedral. A Rosary Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Preferred memorials are Masses to the church or Riley's Children Hospital.
