Linda Buuck, 91 years old of Ossian, Indiana, passed away at 10:40 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in the Ossian Health & Rehabilitation located in Ossian. Linda was born on Wednesday, August 17, 1921 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Martin Ostermeyer and the late Sophie (Thieme) Ostermeyer. She married Gerhard Buuck on March 29, 1941 in Covington, Kentucky and he passed away on May 21, 2000. Linda was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church-Friedheim, where she was involved with her husband in the adult club at the church. Linda had been employed at Hoosier Wire-Die. She also was a homemaker, busy raising her family. When she was younger, she worked at the Fort Wayne knitting mills in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Surviving are her son, Dennis (Carol) Buuck of Lafayette, IN; son, Michael (Deb) Buuck of Zolfo Springs, FL; son, Randal (Diana) Buuck of Ossian, IN; daughter, Donna (Delbert) Scheiman of Decatur, IN; brother, Arnold Ostermeyer of Decatur, IN; sister, Bernice Bearman of New Haven, IN; fifteen grandchildren: Jackie (Pete) Fornos; Doug (Wendy) Buuck; Krista (Andy) Edmonds; Jani McDowell; Becky Shaun) Scholer; Cathy (Lew) Roberts; Emily (Jeff) Pass; Jeremy (Sarah) Buuck; Alisa (Chad) Meyer; Ryanne (Larry) Kees; Allison (Doug) Drewery; Lori (Neal) Orsbon; Stephanie (Jeremy) Riggs; Peter (Erin) McKinney; Liza McKinney; and thirty-five great-grandchildren: Chelsea; Austin; Corbin; MacKinzie; Keaton; Brooklyn; Lane; Malorey; Alexis; Erika; Ben; Anna; Audrey; Breanne; Isabelle; Delaney; Lillian; Hayden; Hudson; Addison; Easton; Allen; Charlie; Selah; Alaina; Dawson; Corbin; Jeffery; Levi; Briggs; Korey; Leland; Emma; Tyler; and Chase. Preceding Linda in death was one son, Roger Buuck. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 in the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Friedheim with Rev. Daniel Dahling officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Friedheim. Friends will be received from 3-5 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2013 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Preferred memorials are to Zion Lutheran Church-Friedheim or Worship For Shut-Ins.
