Mary E. Baker, 85 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away at 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 in the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mary was born on Saturday, July 16, 1927 in Monroeville, IN the daughter of the late Adolph Wagner and the late Emma (Gerardot) Wagner. She married the late Gilbert L. Baker on June 15, 1956 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and he preceded her in death on June 9, 1999. Mary was a member of the Monroeville American Legion Auxiliary Unit 420. Mary was employed at General Plating Company in Ft. Wayne, Indiana from 1954-1974 and was also a homemaker. Surviving are her daughter, Kay A. Gordon of Monroeville, IN; son, Terry Zimmerman of Monroeville, IN; daughter, Brenda Zimmerman of Monroeville, IN; son, David L. Baker of Monroeville, IN; daughter, Gilda L. (Shaun) Smith of Monroeville, IN; 9 grandchildren: Robert (Helena) Zimmerman, William (Jill) Rykard, Matthew (Kim) Zimmerman, Adam (Victoria) Zimmerman, Catie (Keith) Knipstein, Danny (Laura) Cross, Dylan Cross, Dillon Morlan, Samantha Smith; thirteen great-grandchildren: Desirae Zimmerman, Mariah Zimmerman, Hunter Zimmerman, Bailey Zimmerman, Lane Zimmerman, Delaney Knipstein, Addilyn Knipstein, Brody Knipstein, Madison Cross, Wyatt Cross, John Shifferly, Cody Shifferly, Lance Shifferly. Preceding Mary in death were 5 brothers, Clifford, Edgar, Walter, Elmer, and Lloyd Wagner; 3 sisters, Flossie Daugherty, Luella Brown, Grace Crabill; and one son-in-law, Don Gordon. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2013 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2013 in the Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Monroeville EMS or Monroeville Fire Dept.
