Shawn K. Schumm, 51 years old of Ohio City, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 in the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center. She was born on Wednesday, December 27, 1961 in Hillsboro, Oregon the daughter of William and Elsie (Jesse) Smith. She married Bill L. Schumm on February 8, 1980 in Zion Lutheran Church, Schumm. Shawn was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Schumm and was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband, Bill L. Schumm, Jr. of Ohio City, Ohio; son, Bill (Kendra) Schumm,III of Decatur, Indiana; daughter, Tasha (companion, Randy Baumgartner) Schumm of Decatur, Indiana; parents, William & Elsie Smith of Philippi, West Virginia; sister, Maria (Mike) Little of Dunkirk, Indiana; sister, Thelma Randolph of Clarksburg, West Virginia; sister, Ann (George) Kerwood of Washington DC, brother, William (Bonita) Smith, Jr. of New Martinsville, West Virginia; and two grandchildren, Audrey & Piper Schumm. There will be no funeral services. Preferred memorials are to Animal Protective League in Van Wert, Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, or Breast Cancer Society, Inc.
