Patricia Ann Lahr, 68 years old of Warren, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Heritage Pointe located in Warren. She was born on Wednesday, September 6, 1944 in Marion, Indiana the daughter of the late Wilford H. Lahr and the late Glendora I. (Wagner) Ross. Pat was a member of PSI CHI, National Honor Society of Psychologists, St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Indiana State Employees Association, and AFSCME. She had been vice-president of ISEA-Richmond State Hospital Chapter and vice-president of Richmond State Hospital Employees Credit Union. Pat was a graduate of Indiana Central College, now known as the University of Indianapolis, and did her graduate work on her Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology in Provo, Utah. She was a psychology and psychiatric social worker for Richmond State Hospital in Richmond, Indiana for 25 years and prior to that she worked for the Madison County Welfare Department. She had also taught school at Indianapolis schools for a short period of time. Surviving are her brother, Michael (Kandace) Ross of Marion, Indiana; niece, April M. Copas of Gas City, Indiana; niece, Kylie A. (Brad) Bockman of Swayzee, Indiana; nephew, Michael William (Summer) Ross of Marion, Indiana, nephew; J.D. (Debbie Butcher) Ross of Marion, Indiana; three great-nephews, Tyler & Aaron Copas & Cameron Butcher; and two great-nieces, Alexis Ross & Cayla Butcher. Preceding Patricia in death were Floyd & Dr. Blanche Krick, whom she considered her adoptive parents. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2013 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur, Indiana with Rev. Darrell Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, April 14 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur. Preferred memorials are to Grant County Sheriff's Chaplaincy Program, Dr. Blanche Krick Scholarship Fund, or the University of Indianapolis.
