Nick L. Secaur, 75 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 3:12 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013 at his residence. Nick was born on Monday, January 17, 1938 in Adams County, Indiana the son of the late Kenneth Secaur and the late Lucille (DeBolt) Secaur. He was married to Carla Snyder on July 11, 1959 and she passed away on march 13, 2001. He then married Karen Heckert on November 23, 2002 at the New Life Fellowship Church in Decatur, Indiana and she survives. Nick was involved with LOVE, Inc. and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Nick enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, and computers. Nick graduated from Decatur High School and was a police officer for the City of Decatur for 20 years. After his retirement from the police department, he continued to work for Adams County for 15 years. Surviving are his wife, Karen Secaur of Decatur, IN; daughter, Terri A. Schloss of Sevierville TN; son, Jody A. Secaur & Gloria Hatcher of Sevierville, TN; step-daughter, Tonya (David) Clevenger of Berne, IN; step-daughter, Bobbie (Damion) Lucas of Howe, IN; step-daughter, Danette (Chad) Vongunten of Berne, IN; 6 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren. Preceding Nick in death was one brother, Ron Secaur. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Funeral Celebrant Molly Farthing officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem U.C.C. Cemetery, Magley, Indiana. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. Monday, June 10, 2013 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, Indiana and from 11:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the funeral home.
