Ronnie L. Gephart, 75 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Chalet Village in Berne. He was born on Friday, August 27, 1937 in rural Wren, Ohio the son of the late Basil Gephart and the late Lolo (Drake) Gephart. He married Ramona K. Gattshall on June 30, 1957 in Chattanooga, Ohio. Ronnie was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Decatur. He was a farmer and had worked at Phelps Dodge Magnet Wire Company for 46 years retiring in 2002. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Ramona K. Gephart of Decatur; daughter, Roxanne S. Free of Swanton, Ohio; son, Ron D. (Carolyn) Gephart of Decatur; son, Rodney L. (Wendi) Gephart of Decatur; daughter, Rochelle L. (Ray) Burger of Ohio City, Ohio; daughter, Ronnette K. Gephart of Fort Wayne; sister, Eileen Jones of East Moriches, New York; sister, Audrey Manley of Decatur; and sister, Bonnie (John) Koolman of Chesapeake, Virginia. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceding Ronnie in death were two sisters, Pat Gaunt and Ruth Walters and four brothers-in-law, Art Gifford, Miles Jones, Leroy Walters, and Lester Manley. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2013 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with Pastor Ed Gebert officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 7 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur. Preferred memorials are to St. Mark's United Methodist Church or the Adams County Community Foundation-Cancer Fund.
