Thelma M. Berkshire, 79 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2013 in the Woodcrest Nursing Center. She was born on Sunday, October 1, 1933 in Muskogee, Oklahoma the daughter of the late James Civiley McGraw and the late Lucinda Mae (Cheek) McGraw. She married James W. Berkshire on May 31, 1953 in and he passed away on February 15, 2009. Thelma was a homemaker and had formerly attended the Decatur Church of Christ. Surviving are her son, Timothy J. (Cathy) Berkshire of Decatur, Indiana; son, Thomas Lynn (Sharon) Berkshire of Greensburg, Indiana; son, Terry Richard (Mary) Berkshire of Garrett, Indiana; and twin sister, Velma "Tommy" Dean of Casa Grande, Arizona. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Mike (Andrea) Berkshire; Nick Berkshire; Jeff (Brandi) Berkshire; Stephanie Berkshire; Amanda (Vince) Milholland; Kasey (Butch) Barber; and Allison (Paul) Bruns; two step-grandchildren, Stephanie (Russ) Smith & Jeremy Steen; nine great-grandchildren, and five step great-grandchildren. Preceding Thelma in death were two brothers, George "Gene" McGraw & James A. McGraw and a half-brother, Bill Campbell. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, August 12 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 13 in the Woodcrest Porter Auditorium. Preferred memorials are to Honor Flight Northeast Indiana.
