Beverly A. Gumm

Beverly A. Gumm, 75 years old of Woodburn, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 in the Parkview Regional Medical Center. She was born on Tuesday, November 23, 1937 in Van Wert County, Ohio the daughter of the late Ernest H. Klinker and the late Alice Donne (Presgrave) Klinker. She married James H. Gumm on May 5, 1990. Beverly attended Edgerton Wesleyan Church in Edgerton, Indiana. She was a member of the VFW #2457 Ladies Auxiliary in New Haven; the Moose Lodge #861 in Columbia City; and the American Legion #330 Auxiliary in New Haven. She graduated in 1955 from Woodburn High School and retired in 1986 from International Harvester Company with thirty-one years of service in scheduling and expediting. Surviving are her husband, James H. Gumm of Woodburn; daughter, Kelly A. Boroff of Fort Wayne; daughter, Kathy L. Hessler of Fort Wayne; daughter, Kimberly K. (David) Braaten of New Haven; daughter, LeAnn (Steven) Johnson of Fort Wayne; brother, James L. Klinker of Van Wert, Ohio; brother, Terry L. (Linda) Klinker of Apollo Beach, Florida; brother, Rev. William F. (Linda) Klinker of Newark, Ohio; brother, Lynn A. (Jean) Klinker of Woodburn; sister, Charlotte B. McCowan of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Preceding Beverly in death were a son, Terry Joe Boroff; who died at only eight days old in 1957 and an infant brother, Garth Ernest Klinker; who died at eight months old. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 7, 2013 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel with Pastor Dave Dignal officiating. Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery in Convoy, Ohio. Friends will be received from noon to 3 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, October 6 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville. Preferred memorials are to American Heart Association.
