She also helped at church playing the piano and being a chorister. With the help of her daughter, Beverly, and Kathy Sheehan she made banners to beautify the church and received a blessing each time she made one. She also had a dear friend that checked on her everyday even though she was busy with her work & family. Grace wanted to thank Pat Salway for going out of her way for her. She said what is important in our lives is how we invest our time while we are on this earth. Now only God and people who knew her know what that time meant. It doesn't matter how much we accumulate or we own, but it's how we live our lives that count. Grace loved to paint outside and make things look clean and bright. She also in her later years, made a lot of quilts and gave them away.
