Wilfred D. "Will" Hoggatt, 94 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 11:24 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2013 in the Adams Memorial Hospital located in Decatur. Will was born on Sunday, August 31, 1919 in Scottville, Illinois the Son of the late Luey M. Hoggatt and the late Barbara E. (Reeve) Hoggatt. He married the late B. Evelyn Hoggatt on September 21, 1940 in Whiting, Indiana and she passed away on October 15, 2002. Will was a member of the Decatur Baptist Church. Will served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. Will retired in 1984 from the NIPSCO Gas Company with over 22 years of service. Surviving are his son, Daniel (Maris) Hoggatt of Cape Coral, FL; son, Curtis (Marcia) Hoggatt of Ft. Wayne, IN; daughter, Elaine (Doug) Seifert of Ft. Wayne, IN; daughter, Glenda Garland of Decatur, IN; ten grandchildren: Dan Hoggatt Jr.; Beth Hoggatt; Paul Hoggatt; Nicole King; Shonda Ripley; Nathan Hoggatt; Candice Straub; Honor Owen; Seth Owen; Sam Garland; Chanel Garland; and eleven great-grandchildren. Preceding Wilfred in death were one daughter, Sheila Diane Hoggatt; three brothers, & three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Kemp officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Military Graveside Services will be conducted by American Legion Post #43 Color Guard. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, IN.
