Antoinette "Toni" Sorg, 69 years old of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home located in Fort Wayne. She was born on Wednesday, August 16, 1944 in Allen County, Indiana the daughter of the late August Welling and the late Harriet (Monnot) Welling - Rupright. She married Maurice "Mort" Sorg on November 28, 1963 in St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Yoder, Indiana. Toni was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel where she served as the Director of the Food Bank for several years. She was also a member of the Poe V.F.D. Auxiliary, and the Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association Auxiliary (I.V.F.A.A.) for over 48 years where she served as President for two years. She was a homemaker and retired from Norwest Bank in Fort Wayne after twelve years of service. Surviving are her husband, Maurice "Mort" Sorg of Fort Wayne; son, Edward (Teresa) Sorg of Fishers; son, Richard (Dawn) Sorg of Ossian; daughter, Beverly (Andrew) Lockwood of Fort Wayne; daughter, Rebecca Sorg of Fort Wayne; brother, George (Michelle) Rupright of Ossian; and Susan (Mark) Carmin of Hoagland. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Amelia & Emily Sorg; Keith Hoover; and Terry, Olivia, & William Lockwood. Preceding Toni in death were her step-father, Forrest Rupright; a brother, John Rupright; and a sister, Beverly Rupright in infancy. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church-Hessen Cassel with Fr. William Kummer officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Hessen Cassel. Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 29 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with a Rosary to be held at 4:00 p.m. and an I.V.F.A.A. service to be held at 8:00 p.m.. There will also be visitation for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Preferred memorials are to St. Joseph Catholic Church Food Bank or Poe V.F.D. Auxiliary.
