Marcyle A. Gibson, 90 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 20, 2014 in the St. Anne Home & Retirement Center located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Marcyle was born on Monday, August 27, 1923 in Decatur, Indiana the daughter of the late Martin Braun and the late Margaret (Kriegel) Braun. She married the late Robert L. Gibson on May 21, 1949 and he passed away on December 18, 2004. Marcyle was a member of the St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville, Indiana. Marcyle was a homemaker and a nurse. Surviving are her daughter, Peg (Dennis) LaRue of Monroeville, IN; son, Michael (Chris) Gibson of Ft. Wayne, IN; son, Daniel (Debbie) Gibson of Novi, MI; son, David (Lisa) Gibson of New Haven, IN; son, Kevin Gibson of New Haven, IN; brother, Eugene Braun of Decatur, IN; brother, Richard Braun of Decatur, IN; brother, Robert (Pat) Braun of Decatur, IN; brother, Roger Braun of Decatur, IN; brother, Paul (Fran) Braun of Ft. Wayne, IN; sister-in-law, Carolyn Braun of Hudson, MI; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren plus 2 more on the way. Preceding Marcyle in death were grandsons, Adam and John Gibson; daughter-in-law, Dawn Gibson; sister, Honora Custer and two brothers, Arthur and Floyd Braun; sisters-in-law, Joan Braun, Virginia "Ginny" Braun, Annie Braun, and Elnora Braun; and brother-in-law, Tony Custer. A 9:15 a.m. Prayer Service will be held in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, IN followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2014 in the St. Rose Catholic Church with Fr. Robert Crasta officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Rose Catholic Cemetery, Monroeville, Indiana. Friends will be received from 2:-00-4:30 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2014 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, Indiana. A Rosary Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. "In lieu of flowers" preferred memorials are Masses to the church; St. Rose Catholic School; Visiting Nurse & Hospice.
