Ethel May Lindsey, 99 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 5:25 a.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014 at her daughter's residence. Ethel was born on Wednesday, December 9, 1914 in Wells County, Indiana the daughter of the late James W. Snider and the late Musetta (Stout) Snider. She married the late Maxwell Norman Lindsey on December 8, 1940 in Bluffton, Indiana and he passed away October of 1969. Ethel formerly attended the Decatur Church of God; had been a member and past president of the Whitley County Garden Club; a 4-H leader in Whitley County; and a Girl Scout Leader of Troop #212 in Whitley County. Ethel was a graduate of Lancaster Center High School Class of 1933. Ethel was the surviving member of the class. Ethel had been employed by General Motors of Indianapolis during WW II. Surviving are her daughter, Janis (Charles) Coffman of Decatur, IN; grandson, Byron (Ruth) Coffman of Kenosha, WI; grandson, Conrad Coffman of Ft. Worth, TX; grandson, Samuel Coffman of Ft. Worth, TX; granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth (Will) Sensibaugh of Kokomo, IN. Preceding Ethel in death were 3 brothers: James W.; John; and George Snider; and 1 sister: Esther Leist. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2014 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Janis Coffman officiating. Burial will be in the Six Mile Cemetery, Bluffton, Indiana. Friends will be received from 5-7 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2014 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, IN.
