Bonnie J. Baumgartner, 65 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2014 at her residence. She was born on Sunday, May 16, 1948 in Portland, Indiana the daughter of the late Paul F. White and the late Margaret E. (Myers) White. She married Richard Baumgartner on August 10, 1996 and he passed away on October 13, 2013. Bonnie was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Decatur. She was a 1966 graduate of Portland High School, a graduate of Marian College in Indianapolis and Byng Vocational School in Oklahoma. She had worked at Adams Memorial Hospital for approximately ten years as a registered nurse retiring in 2006. She had also previously been employed at Jay County Hospital. Surviving are her daughter, Rhonda Hendricks of Fort Myers, Florida; son, Steven Hendricks of Bluffton, Indiana; step-daughter, Dee Dee (Jesse) Belleu of Brazil, Indiana; step-son, James (Katy) Baumgartner of Danville, Indiana; sister, Karen Johnson of Portland, Indiana; and brother, Gary White of Portland, Indiana. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Austin & Claire Hendicks; and three step-grandchildren, Aiden & Brandon & Belleu and T.J. Baumgartner. Preceding Bonnie in death were a brother & sister-in-law, Jack & Pat White. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014 in the St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Decatur with Pastor Phil Emerson officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Clay City, Indiana. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, April 6 in the St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Decatur. Preferred memorials are to the donor's choice.
