Erwin Warsinski, 83 years old of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Signature Health Care of Fort Wayne. He was born on Monday, October 27, 1930 in Port Huron, Michigan the son of the late Frank Warsinski and the late Martha (Geike) Warsinski. He married Melanie (Schumm) Jones on February 5, 2000 in the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne. Erwin attended Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne and was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Huron, Michigan. He graduated from Port Huron High School; Port Huron Jr. College; & Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Business Administration. He retired in 1992 from Lincoln National Financial Corporation as a supervisor with 27 years of service. Survivors include his wife, Melanie Warsinski of Fort Wayne; step-daughter, Kristi (Joe Welch) Gephart of Fort Wayne; step-son, Kevin (Lindsay) Jones of Fort Wayne; step-son, Alan (Emma DuVall) Jones of Huntertown; and brother, Frank (Verenita) Warsinski of Laguna Woods, CA. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Tyler, Brenden, & Aubrey Gephart; Layla & Kian Jones; and Ryker Jones. Preceding Erwin in death were two sisters, Gertrude Masar & Dorothy Roloff; and three brothers, Arthur & Harold, & Martin Warsinski. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2014 in the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church with Pastor Glenn Meyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Prairie Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Preferred memorials are to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Alzheimer's Association of Greater Indiana, or any Hospice of the donor's choice.
