Marilyn Rita Pattee

Marilyn Rita Pattee, 90 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014 in the Adams Heritage located in Monroeville. Marilyn was born on Friday, May 16, 1924 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana the daughter of the late Frank C. Martin and the late Bertha Rosa (Hoffman) Martin. She married the late Harry L. Pattee on November 30, 1946 in Hessen Cassel, Indiana and he passed away on August 3, 1999. Marilyn was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church-Hessen Cassel. Marilyn was a homemaker and during World War II, she started working at G E in Ft. Wayne as a contribution toward the war effort, continuing her employment until the 1950's. Surviving are her son, Terry (Linda) Pattee of Hoagland, Indiana, 3 grandchildren: Nathan (Melody) Pattee; Jon (fiance Sarah McDaniel) Pattee; and Brian (Tiana) Pattee; and 6 great-grandchildren: Leaura Pattee, Alexia Pattee, Mason Silvani, Madison Silvani, Myles Pattee, and Miley Pattee. Preceding Marilyn in death were 2 sisters: Verene Martin & Bonita Beckman; 1 brother, Marcian Martin. A Mass of Christian Burial wil be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 9, 2014 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church-Hessen Cassel with Father William Kummer officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Hessen Cassel. Friends will be received from 12:00 Noon-4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2014 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, IN and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. A Rosary Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Food Bank or Family LifeCare Hospice.
