Patricia S. Boltz, 84 years old of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Parkview Regional Medical Center. She was born on Saturday, February 15, 1930 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the daughter of the late John W. Sauer and the late Luella (Branning) Sauer. She married Dean E. Boltz on October 19, 1950 in the Wayne Street Methodist Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Pat was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne and a former member of the First Wayne Street United Methodist Church. She was a longtime choir member; involved in the United Methodist Women; and also the Emmaus Community where she was a Lay Director for the Emmaus Walk. She had received the Thanks Badge from Girl Scouts USA. Pat was a graduate of South Side High School in 1948 and had attended West Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was a homemaker and also a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant. Survivors are her husband, Dean E. Boltz of Fort Wayne; daughter, Deborah E. Boltz of Huntertown; daughter, Dianne B. McIntosh of New Haven; and daughter, Mary J. B. Michalak of Huntertown. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Daniel McIntosh; Claire (Bryan) Meraz; & Jennifer McIntosh; and one great-grandchild, Brynn Meraz. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in the Bethany United Methodist Church at 7715 Sunny Lane in Fort Wayne with Dr. Jerry Wood officiating. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 15 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Preferred memorials are to the Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana.
