Grover W. Heckert, 58 years old of Monroe, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 in the Adams Memorial Hospital located in Decatur. Grover was born on Friday, November 11, 1955 in Van Wert, Ohio the son of the late James Heckert and the late Lillian (Lintemoot) Heckert. He married Nancy M. Tinkham Brown on June 7, 1987 in Monroe, Indiana and she survives. Grover was a member of the VFW Decatur; the Moose Lodge #1311; and Salem Community Church. Grover was employed by Eckhart Woodworking. Surviving are his wife, Nancy M. Heckert of Monroe, IN; daughter, Tara Rodgers of Pennville, IN; daughter, Tiffany Wolfe of Decatur, IN; son, Nathan (Shelia) Brown of Monroe, IN; son, Jeremy Brown of Monroe, IN; son, Matthew (Heather) Brown of Monroe, IN; brother, Gary (Donna) Heckert of Decatur, IN; brother, Don (Linda) Chaffee of Three Rivers, MI; brother, Dave Heckert of Bluffton, IN; sister, Karen Secaur of Decatur, IN; sister, Tammy (Roger) Lough of Decatur, IN; brother, Steve Heckert of Decatur, IN; brother, Tim Heckert of Bluftton, IN; sister, Faye (Dave) Krick of Hoagland, IN; brother-in-law, Emil Baumgartner of Bluffton, IN; 9grandchildren: Kayla & Austin Brown; Will, Trent, Kaden Brown; Taylor & Chase Brown; Mason Rodgers; & Madison Wolfe; 1 great-grandson: Elliott Brown. Preceding Grover in death were 1 brother, Robert Heckert and 1 sister, Jane Baumgartner. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 26, 2014 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Jim Compton officiating. Burial will be in Tricker Cemetery at a later date. Friends will be received from 1-4 and 5-8 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2014 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, IN. Preferred memorials are to Monroe Volunteer Fire Dept.
