Alice R. Wyss, 87 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014 at Adams Heritage in Monroeville. She was born on Monday, October 4, 1926 in Monroeville, Indiana the daughter of the late John F. Crabill and the late Violet (Whittern) Crabill. She married Ronald A. Wyss on November 27, 1948 in St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2006. Alice was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville and the Women's Guild of the church. She was also a member of the American Legion Post #420 Auxiliary. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her daughter, Susan M. Wyss of Fort Wayne; daughter, Monica B. Corpus of Mays Landing, NJ; daughter, Roselyn M. (Duane) Doctor of Monroeville; daughter, Andrea M. (Darrel) Scheumann of Decatur; son, Philip A. (Jennifer Dailey) Wyss of Fort Wayne; daughter, Jane M. (James) Corkery of Madison, WI; daughter, Nancy C. (Vito) Coletto of Chicago, IL; and daughter, Christine A. (Marc) Lechleitner of Hoagland. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, Anthony Ternet, Patricia (fiancé John Heilman) Ternet; Rina Corpus; Mark Corpus; Jennifer Tippmann; Joy (Ken) Tippmann; Jacob Doctor; John Doctor; James (Ashley) Scheumann; David (Nicole) Scheumann; Danielle Scheumann; Justine Corkery; Andrew Corkery; Peter Corkery; Jack Coletto; Mia Coletto; Erika Lechleitner; Natalie Lechleitner; and Jerome Lechleitner and ten great-grandchildren, Kenneth Tippmann; Hadley Tippmann; Landon Tippmann; Maria Tippmann; Lucia Tippmann; Megan Mooney; Amaya Mooney; Jamison Scheumann; Jace Scheumann; and Olivia Scheumann. Alcie was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Joseph Ternet, Julian Wyss, and Gabriella Wyss; a brother, Norman Crabill and a sister, Roberta Hilton. A Prayer Service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville. Fr. Lourdino Fernandes will officiate. Interment will follow in the St. Rose Catholic Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, July 30 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville. A Rosary will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday also at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Masses to the church; Monroeville EMS; or the St. Rose Catholic School Building Fund.
