Noble Robert Dinger, 91 years old of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Coventry Meadows in Fort Wayne. He was born on Saturday, March 31, 1923 in Allen County, Indiana the son of the late Robert H. Dinger and the late Gertrude Opal (Liger) Dinger. He married Theresa Marie Miller on November 25, 1949. Noble served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of East Allen Church of Christ in New Haven; I.O.O. F. Lodge in New Haven; Order of Free and Accepted Masons; and the Scottish Rite in Fort Wayne. Noble retired from General Electric in Fort Wayne with 44 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Theresa Marie Dinger of Fort Wayne; son, Alan (Cathy) Dinger of Fort Wayne; son, Greg (Theresa) Dinger of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter, Cheryl (Tom) Fuhrmann of Crawfordsville; daughter, Robin (Kevin) Parece of Port Charlotte, Florida; daughter, Dawn (Brette) Anspach of Englewood, Florida; twin sister, Nola (Raymond) Pelfrey of Howe; brother, Dallas (Joan) Dinger of West Lafayette; nine grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Preceding Noble in death were twelve sisters, Edith Dager; Virgil Gerardot; Zelma Burns; Lucy Belle Roth; Grace Lennington; Ilo Johnston; Forest Travis; Rena Parr; Marjorie Lee; Flora & Dora Dinger; and Georganna Guebard. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville with Minister Everett Confer officiating. Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in New Haven with Military Graveside Services to be conducted by the American Legion Post #420 of Monroeville. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 8 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the fuenral home. An I.O.O.F. Lodge Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. following visitation on Friday. Preferred memorials are to Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana or Wounded Warrior Project.
