Janelle Riley, 68 years old of Monroe, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in Adams Woodcrest in Decatur. She was born on Monday, October 22, 1945 in Decatur, Indiana the daughter of the late Floyd M. Roth and the late Mildred (Henschen) Roth. She married Gale Riley on October 17, 1964 in Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren. Janelle was a member of Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren where she had played the piano and the organ. She was also active in the Ladies Aid at the church and taught Sunday school. She had worked at Berne Apparel Company for over 20 years. Surviving are her husband, Gale Riley of Monroe; son, Todd (Raquel) Riley of Decatur; daughter, Theresa (Eric) Braun of Monroe; and brother, Roger (Nancy) Roth of Berne. She is also survived by five grandchildren; Adam, David & Riley Braun of Monroe; and Garrick & Alisha Hovereman of Decatur; and one great-grandchild, Carter Perez. Preceding Janelle in death was a brother in infancy. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2014 in the Pleasant Dale Church of the Brethren with Pastor Jay Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the Tricker Cemetery. Friends will be received from 12 noon to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 15 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur. Preferred memorials are to American Cancer Society.
