Wanita Cable, 85 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 7:10 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014 in the Adams Memorial Hospital located in Decatur. Wanita was born on Monday, April 29, 1929 in Van Wert, Ohio the daughter of the late Delbert Thatcher and the late Catherine (Banning) Thatcher. She married the late Norbert D. Cable on September 29, 1946 in Monmouth, Indiana and he passed away on August 9, 2003. Wanita was a member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church-Fuelling. Wanita had worked at Automatic Sprinkler in Monroe, Indiana for 26 years. Surviving are her daughter, Gloria Loshe of Decatur, IN; son, Roger D. (Janet) Cable of Nashville, TN; daughter, Brenda (Andy) Wolf of Craigville, IN; daughter, Rebecca E. (James) Fuelling of Decatur, IN; daughter, Cathy Runyon of Decatur, IN; brother, Gene (Vivian) Thatcher of Willshire, OH; sister, Virgie Lister of Decatur, IN; sister, Mary Dick of Decatur, IN; sister, Marjorie (Larry) Hileman of Rockford, OH; sister, Virginia (Harold) Vanhorn of Decatur, IN; sister, Elsie (Lowell) Beougher of Rockford, OH; sister, Darlene (Conley) Marsee of Rockford, OH; 19 grandchildren: Cara (Ken) Wolfe; D.J. Loshe; Ann Bercot; Anita Loshe; Charlie (Melissa Loshe; Robert (Krista) Loshe; Becky Jo Smith; Stephanie (Joe) Salway; Jessi (J.D.) Taylor; Lacy (Shawn) Reinhart; Josh (Jana) Cable; Jacob (Erin) Cable; Jim (Ann) Stults; Troy (Allie) Stults; Dane (Jen) Fuelling; Emalese Fuelling; Garrett Fuelling; Michael (Valerie) Runyon; Kevin Runyon; 30 great-grandchildren, & 3 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Wanita in death were 4 brothers: Reynold, Preston, Alvin, & Joseph Thatcher; 2 sisters: Bonnie Sutton Ellison & Rose Johnson; & 1 son-in-law, David Runyon. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2014 in the St. Peter Lutheran Church, Fuelling with Rev. Martin Moehring officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery, Decatur, Indiana. Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, IN and one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday. Preferred memorials are to St. Peter Lutheran Church Building Fund.
