Linda D. Wietfeldt, 55 years old of Monroe, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana following a long-term illness. She was born on Saturday, August 23, 1958 in Nashville, Arkansas the daughter of the late Willie Joe Hale and Aletha "Jo" (Uhrick) Hale. She married Donald G. Wietfeldt on December 31, 1985 in Van Wert, Ohio. Linda was a homemaker and was previously owner & operator along with her husband, Don, of D & L Escorts; where they were Flag Car Drivers. She had also worked at Corning Glassware in Bluffton. Surviving are her husband, Donald G. Wietfeldt of Monroe; son, Roger (Jennifer) Hale of Decatur; son, Scottie (Janet) Fox of Decatur; daughter, Melinda "Mindy" (Ryan) Arnold of Decatur; mother, Jo Hale of Decatur; sister, Cyndi Parson of Monroe; sister, Candy Harris of Monroe; three step-sons; three step-daughters; 26 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceding Linda in death were a sister, Pamela Jo Hale; a grandson, Daniel Smith; and a great-granddaughter, Natalie Roll. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Celebrant Molly Farthing officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 22 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the family.
