Margie A. Thieme, 80 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014 in the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana. She was born on Saturday, November 18, 1933 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the daughter of the late Richard T. Fawley and the late Thelma G. (Spry) Fawley. She married Leo E. Thieme on April 26, 1953 in Convoy, Ohio. Margie was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Ladies Aid and a former member of the American Legion Post #43 Auxiliary. She was also a former Adams County 4-H leader. She retired on January 31, 1996 from Central Soya in Decatur with 30 years of service. Surviving are her husband, Leo E. Thieme of Decatur; daughter, LeAnn S. Thieme of Fort Wayne; daughter, Angela K. Thieme of Decatur; son, Scott A. Thieme of Decatur; sister, Marilyn Setser of Fort Wayne; & brother, Robert W. (Carol) Fawley of Escondido, CA. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Kristina (Tony) Palloway; Andria (Dustin) Myers; Tara (Mark) Helmkamp; & Karah Thieme; and five great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Ella, & Camden Helmkamp; Ava Myers; & Emilia Palloway. Preceding Margie in death was a brother, Richard Lowell Fawley. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Decatur with Pastor David Koeneman officiating. Interment will follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. & 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, August 25 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Preferred memorials are to the donor's choice.
