William C. "Bill" Reynolds, 77 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014 in the Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born on Thursday, August 19, 1937 in Monroeville, Indiana the son of the late George Reynolds and the late Wilma (Meese) Reynolds. He married Beverly J. Woodruff on August 7, 1965. Bill was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Monroeville; Sons of the American Legion Post 420 in Monroeville; and the Moose Lodge #1311 in Decatur. He was a graduate of Monroeville High School Class of 1956 and retired as an inspector from Phelps Dodge Magnet Wire Company in 2002. A devoted family man, Bill enjoyed camping and yearly vacations to Cedar Point. He was an avid Cleveland Indians fan and the family enjoyed many baseball games together. He never knew a stranger and loved spending time with his grandkids and was looking forward to upcoming weddings. He recently found a special connection with his great-grandson, Dylan. Surviving are his wife, Beverly J. Reynolds of Monroeville, IN, daughter, Barbara J. Simpson of Fort Wayne, IN, daughter, Diane L. Swygart of Wakarusa, IN, sister, Mary E. Schott of Fort Wayne, IN, five grandchildren, one great-grandchild. Preceding William in death were a son-in-law, Michael Swygart and two brothers, Ronald Reynolds & Howard "Stub" Reynolds. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 28, 2014 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel with Rev. Paul Barnett officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 27 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel in Monroeville. Preferred memorials are to Monroeville EMS, Monroeville Fire Department, or Adams Heritage.
