Susan J (Brouwer) Beauchot

Susan J. (Brouwer) Beauchot, 69 years old of Monroeville, Indiana, passed away at 4:45 a.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2015 in the Adams Heritage located in Monroeville. Susan was born on Sunday, April 1, 1945 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the daughter of the late Asa D. Brouwer and the late Opal I. (Clem) Brouwer. She married Joseph William Beauchot on December 15, 1967 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and he survives. Susan was a graduate of Monroeville High School; a graduate of Indiana Central College in 1967; and a graduate of St. Francis College in 1972 with a Master of Science degree in education. Susan was a member of the Hoosier Friends Home Ec. Club in Monroeville; and a former member of Eastern Star & Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed geneology and history of the Monroeville area. Susan was a teacher for the East Allen County Schools, retiring in 2000 with 33 years of service. In 1963, she was one of the first teachers to teach summer school for migrant children around the Monroeville area. Surviving are her husband, Joseph Beauchot of Monroeville, IN; son, Daniel J. (Shawna) Beauchot of Lebanon, IN; grandson, Dalton J. Beauchot of Lebanon, IN; grandson, Kolt Beauchot of Lebanon, IN; step-granddaughter, Kylie S. Rady of Lebanon, IN; sister, Peggy L. Anderson of New Haven, IN; sister, Mary Lou Morgan of Monroeville, IN; sister, Kathy (Robert) Beauchot of Monroeville, IN. Preceding Susan in death were a granddaughter: Abigale Beauchot; 2 brothers: Lt. Com. Daniel J. Brouwer and Robert L. Brouwer. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel with Rev. Ralph Klinker officiating. Interment will follow in the Monroeville Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2015 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, IN and one hour prior to the services Wednesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, family requests that memorial donations be made to Monroeville EMS or Monroeville Fire Dept.
