Betty J. Rolston, 84 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 in the Adams Memorial Hospital located in Decatur. Betty was born on Wednesday, August 27, 1930 in Ohio City, Ohio the daughter of the late Dewy Harmon and the late Myrtle (Rumple) Harmon. She married the late Raymond J. Rolston Jr. on January 13, 1948 in Decatur, Indiana and he passed away on November 6, 2013. Betty was a member of the V.F.W. and the D.A.V. Betty was a good mother to her daughters...she was always there for them. An avid bowler, Betty was well-known in the Decatur area for her bowling. Betty was a homemaker. Surviving are her daughter, Barbara (Mike) Bodle of Ossian, IN; daughter, Vickie Jackson of Decatur, IN; daughter, Nancy (Dave) Mosure of Decatur, IN; daughter, Rose (Rick) Hoover of Decatur, IN; 6 grandchildren: Glen Hitchcock; Katheren (Jim) Thatcher; Lisa Gase; Tina (Jim) Marbach; Scott Mosure; Erin Hoover; 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding Betty in death were 1 daughter, Donna Lou; 3 sisters: Dorothy Williams, Ruth Weyenberg, and Marie Garwood; 2 brothers: Myrle & Kenneth Harmon. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Funeral Celebrant Molly Farthing officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2015 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, IN. Preferred memorials are to Wounded Warrior Project.
