Hildegard Conrad, 95 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away at 4:18 a.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2015 in the Adams Woodcrest located in Decatur, where she had been residing for the past year and a half. Hildegard was born in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Rudolph Buuck and the late Bertha (Bultemeier) Buuck. She married the late Adelbert Conrad on December 25, 1940 and he preceded her in death on August 1, 2004. Hildegard was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church-Decatur. Hildegard was a homemaker and assisted her husband in the operation of the family dairy farm. Surviving are her daughter, Bonnie (Edward) Bultemeyer of Decatur, IN; son, Leslie (Karen) Conrad of Decatur, IN; brother-in-law, Marvin (Laurina) Conrad of Decatur, IN; sister-in-law, Doris Conrad of Fort Wayne, IN; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Beth) Bultemeyer; Dean Bultemeyer; Scott (Carrie) Bultemeyer; Amy (Scott) Bean; Tim (Shari) Conrad; Cassie (Brandon) Hudson; & Kevin (Sarah) Conrad; and 15 Great-Grandchildren: Chloe Bultemeyer; Sydney Conrad; Christian Bultemeyer; Colton Conrad; Zeke Bultemeyer; Jensen Conrad; Rois Bultemeyer; Max Bultemeyer; Conrad Bultemeyer; Zane Bultemeyer; Sam Bean; Luke Bean; Joel Bean; Callaway Conrad; & Curt Conrad; and one more great-grandchild on the way. Preceding Hildegard in death were a great-granddaughter, Celia Bultemeyer; a brother: Erwin Buuck; and four sisters, Alvina Dettmer; Meta Dettmer; Adele Roembke; & Gertrude Bittner. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in the Zion Lutheran Church-Decatur with Rev. Robert Becker officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 8:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 in the Woodcrest Porter Auditorium and from 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, IN and one hour prior to services Wednesday in the church.
