June Meyer, 90 years old and a resident of Swiss Village for the past 5 years, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 in the Adams Memorial Hospital located in Decatur. June was a longtime Decatur resident. June was born on June 11, 1924 in Decatur, Indiana the daughter of the late Eli Dubach and the late Bertha (Frauhiger) Dubach. She married the late James L. Meyer on June 1, 1947 in Rockville, Indiana and he passed away on January 6, 2007. June was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ. June was a beautician when she first was married, and then worked for 28 years at Bellmont High School in Food Service. Surviving are her daughter, Jennifer (Steve) Straub of Decatur, IN; grandson, Jeff Straub of Decatur, IN; granddaughter, Jodi Garner of Decatur, IN; granddaughter, Wendy Peich of Chicago, IL; grandson, Matt Meyer of Chicago, IL; 5 great-grandchildren. Preceding June in death were 1 son, Joe L. Meyer who died in 1994; 1 brother, Bob Dubach; 1 sister, Berniece Dubach. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2015 in the Swiss Village Chapel in Berne, Indiana with Rev. Randy Rossman officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery, Decatur, Indiana. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2015 in the Swiss Village Chapel in Berne, Indiana.
