Wallace "Wally" Comment, 86 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Adams Memorial Hospital. He was born on Tuesday, January 8, 1929 in Allen County, Indiana the son of the late Noble Comment and the late Cecil (Burkhead) Comment. Wally served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post #0178 of Van Wert, Ohio. Wally was a graduate of Monroeville High School in 1947. He worked for Strickler Trailer Sales for 15 years doing trailer repair and was also a truck driver for many years. Surviving are his daughter, Jackie (Ed Burwell) Tracey of Convoy, Ohio; daughter, Juanita Comment of Van Wert, Ohio; son, Walter "Bud" (JoAnn) Comment of Decatur; son, Anthony Comment of Decatur; daughter, Kimberly Edwards of West Chester, Ohio; brother, Roy (Marian) Comment of Elkhart; companion, Donna Linder of Decatur; 11 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren. Preceding Wallace in death were a sister, Joan Fuhrman and a brother, Noble "Bill" Comment. A private family gathering will be held for Wally with Military Honors to be conducted by the American Legion Post #43 of Decatur. Preferred memorials are to Family LifeCare of Berne.
