Gloria L. Black, 81 years old of Willshire, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2015 in the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center located in Van Wert, Indiana. Gloria was born on April 6, 1934 in Willshire, Ohio the daughter of the late Heber H. Alspaugh and the late Inola Fern (Miller) Alspaugh. She married the late Donald W. Black on June 14, 1954 and he passed away on November 19, 1985. Gloria was a member of the Praise Point Church in Willshire; and the Red Hat Society. Gloria was a waitress at the Pioneer Restaurant in Decatur; Village Restaurant in Willshire; Gloria and her husband Don owned and operated the Gloria's Drive Inn, in Willshire-now the Taste Freeze. Surviving are her son, Rick (Kim) Black of Decatur, IN; son, Scot (Beth) Black of Willshire, OH; son, Monte L. Black of Willshire, OH; sister, Jeanette (Jerry) Rumple of Decatur, IN; brother, H. Ed (Cindy) Alspaugh of Decatur, IN; 5 grandchildren: Destinee (Andy) Knittle; Colby Black; Jayden Black; Keaton Black; B.J. (Brandy) Knous; and 2 great-grandchildren: Emiree & Creeden Knittle. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015 in the Praise Point United Brethren Church with Rev. Mark Rutledge officiating. Interment will follow in the Willshire Cemetery, Willshire, OH. Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Praise Point Church in Willshire, OH. Preferred memorials are to Don Black Scholarship Fund.
