Timothy A. Lothamer Sr., 59 years old of New Haven, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness. Tim was born on December 8, 1955 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana the son of the late Herman Lothamer (who passed away on September 15, 2009) and Gloria A. (Love) Lothamer (who survives). Tim was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church-Besancon in New Haven, IN. One of Tim's major loves in life was football, fishing with his brother, and golf. His favorite football team was the Indianapolis Colts. He was also known to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Tim was employed by Scott's Foods-Maplecrest/Stellhorn store as a stockman where he was known as a very dependable employee. Tim had previously been employed by a private contractor in concrete construction and Patton Electric in New Haven, IN. Surviving are his son, Timothy A. Lothamer Jr. of New Haven, IN; mother, Gloria Lothamer of New Haven, IN; brother, Michael (Susan) Lothamer of Woodburn, IN; sister, Linda (Richard) Burkett of New Haven, IN; sister, Susan (Dave) Shaffer of Monroeville, IN; brother, James Lothamer of Ft. Wayne, IN; sister, Janet (Brent) Spindler of Monroeville, IN; sister, Joanne (Roland) Yoder of New Haven, IN; sister, Beth (Mark) Kern of Harlan, IN. Preceding Timothy in death was one brother, Kevin Lothamer in 1963. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in the St. Louis Besancon Catholic Church with Father Ben Muehlenkamp officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery - Besancon, New Haven, IN. Friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. Monday, August 3, 2015 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville, IN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Preferred memorials are Masses to the church or Heartland Hospice-Ft. Wayne.
