Donald L. Caffee, 83 years old of Willshire, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Swiss Village in Berne. He was born on Monday, April 11, 1932 in Mercer County, Ohio the son of the late Howard Caffee and the late Caroline (Miller) Caffee. He married Rosemary Weinman on December 31, 1955 at Zion Lutheran Church in Chattanooga, Ohio. Don served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a very active member of Zion Lutheran Church in Chattanooga, Ohio where he served as past president of the congregation and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. He was also a former member of the Willshire Lion's Club. Don was a lifelong farmer in Mercer County and also owned and operated Don Caffee Insurance Agency. Surviving are his wife, Rosemary Caffee of Willshire; daughter, Deborah (Jeffrey) Jones of Fort Wayne; son, Kevin (Robin) Caffee of Willshire; two grandchildren, Ashley (Josh) Tangeman and Justin Jones; and two great-grandchildren, Cooper and Turner Tangeman. Preceding Don in death were a sister, Fern Stetler and three brothers, Vernon Caffee; Gene Caffee; and Dale Caffee. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2015 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur with Pastor Karen Tamorria officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Chattanooga, Ohio with Military Graveside Honors to be conducted by the American Legion Post #43 of Decatur. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 14 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Preferred memorials are to Zion Lutheran Church in Chattanooga.
