Charles L. Dailey, 83 years old of Berne, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana. He was born on Saturday, April 9, 1932 in Willshire, Ohio the son of the late Stanton R. Dailey and the late Margaret (Brandt) Dailey. He married Ilene Shaffer on June 5, 1959 at the First Presbyterian Church in Decatur. Charles was a lifelong Blue Creek Township farmer and carpenter. Surviving are his wife, Ilene Dailey of Berne; daughter, Melinda Sue Case of Decatur; son, Charles A. Dailey of Berne; son, Dwayne L. Dailey of Berne; sister, Alma Kable of Fort Wayne; and sister, Marjorie Dodane of Kingman, AZ. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Troy Walker, Jamie Stout; Travis (Ashley) Case; Michael Case; Briona Case; T. J. Elzey; and two great-grandchildren, Kobey Eaton and Kaiden Stout. Preceding Charles in death were a son, Ron E. "Rounder" Dailey; four brothers, Stanton R. Dailey Jr., Robert Dailey, Thomas W. Dailey; & David E. Dailey and two sisters, Mary Bennett and Katherine Bair. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m., Friday, August 21 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur. Memorials are to the donor's choice.
