Charles "Chuck" Hosier, 87 years old of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016 in the Parkview Regional Medical Center located in Fort Wayne,, following a brief illness.
Chuck was born on May 6, 1928 in Marion, Indiana the son of the late Charles Howard Hosier and the late Lucille Kyle (Waggner) Hosier. He married Glenda M. McClure on April 8, 1950 and she survives.
Chuck served his country during World War II in the United States Marine Corp. Chuck enjoyed boating in Florida and was part of the Boat Club in Tavares, Florida.
Chuck owned and operated the Marathon Station on Monroe St. in Decatur; and retired from Bellmont Trucking in 1985 after 30 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, Glenda M. Hosier of Ft. Wayne, IN; son, Jerry D. (Cathy) Hosier of Ft. Wayne, IN; son, Michael E. Hosier of Ft. Wayne, IN; grandson, Shaun Buck of Dunkirk, IN; granddaughter, Amanda (Gustave) Jones of Ft. Wayne, IN; grandson, Zachary (Heather) Hosier of Grabill, IN; 6 great-grandchildren: Brittany Jones, Kierstyn Krouse, Joseph Jones, Gustave Jones II, Charli Hosier, and Talon Hosier.
Preceding Charles in death was 1 sister, Joan Beaudet.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2016 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Funeral Celebrant Molly Farthing officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, IN and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to Allen County SPCA or Hope for Animals.
