Lois J. Hamrick, 83 years old of Ohio City, Ohio, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016 in the Lutheran Hospital of Indiana located in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Lois was born on January 2, 1933 in Van Wert, Ohio the daughter of the late LeRoy DeBolt and the late Thelma (Miller) DeBolt. She married the late Harry E. Hamrick on July 26, 1953 in Adams County, Indiana and he passed away on January 27, 2000.
Lois was a member of the Mt. Zion United Brethren Church (Bobo).
Lois was a farm-wife, assisting her husband in the operation of their dairy farm. In addition, Lois was employed by the F. McConnell & Son Company for 55 years where she worked in the warehouse. Lois enjoyed collecting Holstein cows and John Deere toys. Her joy and hobbies centered on farm life.
Surviving are her brother, David "Lee" DeBolt of Convoy, OH; sister, Janet Hoverman of Ohio City, OH; brother, Harold Dean DeBolt of Van Wert, OH; several nieces and nephews: Michael DeBolt; Cheryl Taylor; Renee Matthews; Sharla Thompson; Nancy Brokaw; Deb Dixon; Michelle Hohman; Darrell Hoverman; Teresa Leffel; Kristina Rider; and Kelli Metzger. Lois also had several great nieces, great nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews who survive her.
Preceding Lois in death were 1 brother, Roger DeBolt; 1 nephew, Kevin DeBolt.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 22, 2016 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home with Rev. Clark Williman officiating.
Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Ohio City, Ohio.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 5-7 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2016 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, IN and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to Mt. Zion United Brethren Church (Bobo) or Donors' Choice.
