Aletha Josephine "Jo" Hale, 79 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Adams Memorial.
She was born on Saturday, April 4, 1936 in Adams County, Indiana the daughter of the late Vernon Uhrick and the late Edna (Morningstar) Uhrick.
Jo served as vice-president of Van Wert Senior Citizens and enjoyed spending time with family and playing BINGO and cards.
She was a graduate of Jefferson High School. Jo had worked at Blount for 12 1/2 years, retiring in 1999 and prior to that she had worked at Corning Glass in Bluffton for 17 1/2 years.
Surviving are her daughter, Cyndi Parson of Decatur, IN; daughter, Candy Harris of Monroe, IN; brother, Dale Uhrick of Bluffton, IN; sister, Dolly Osborn of St. Louis, MO; sister, Flossie Morris of Dierks, AR; sister, Ethel Flowers of Van Wert, OH; seven grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and 15 step great-grandchildren.
Preceding Aletha in death were two daughters, Pamela J. Hale-White & Linda Wietfeldt; three brothers, Clarence, Elmer, & Walter Uhrick; and four sisters, Rebecca Bietler; Helen Diehl; Emma Lou Hiers, and Ola Uhrick.
In following Jo's wishes, no services will be held.
