Norma D. Petzold, 85 years old of Decatur, IN, passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, in the Adams Memorial Hospital located in Decatur, IN.
Norma was born on June 16, 1930, in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Carl H. Knepper and the late Emilie (Anderfuhren) Knepper. She married the late Rev. Earl E. Petzold on June 22, 1958, and he preceded her in death on September 27, 1996.
Norma was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Decatur, IN; the Emmaus Guild; Lutherans for Life; and Council on Pregnancy in Adams County.
Norma was a homemaker.
Surviving are her daughter, Ruth E. Petzold, a diplomat posted in Cairo, Egypt, son, Daniel E. (Debbie) Petzold of Ypsilanti, MI; 3 grandchildren: Jonathan (Christa) Petzold; Timothy Petzold; Stephen Petzold; and 2 great-grandchildren: Charis Petzold and Gideon Petzold
Preceding Norma in death was 1 brother, Louis Knepper in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2016, in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, IN, with Rev. James Voorman officiating. Interment will follow in the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery - Decatur, IN.
Friends will be received from 3 - 6 p.m. Monday, February 1, 2016, in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, IN, and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur, IN.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials are to Lutheran Women's Missionary League & Child Fund International.
