Michael R. Ogg, 57 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at his residence.
Mike was born on August 10, 1958 in Decatur, Indiana the son of the late Richard B. Ogg and the late Arlene (Rawley) Ogg. He married Jackie Stetler on June 21, 1980 in St. Mark's U.M. Church in Decatur and she survives.
Mike was a member of the NRA & Blue Creek Conservation Club. He was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post #207 in Willshire, Ohio. He loved NASCAR and his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. He loved Alabama football and he was a big I U fan. Mike loved being outdoors and hunting, fishing, and four - wheeling. He was very devoted to his family and his grandkids were his life.
Mike was employed at Silberling Inc. in Decatur for 34 years.
Surviving are his wife, Jackie Ogg of Decatur, IN; son, Chris (Abbey) Ogg of Decatur, IN; son, Chad (Mandy) Ogg of Berne, IN; sister, Pam (Dan) Strickler of Decatur, IN; sister, Cindy (Rick) Roop of Gravette, AR; sister, Shelly (Gary) Ellenberger of Geneva, IN; brother, Rick Ogg, California; step - mother- in - law, Ruby Ogg of Decatur, IN; mother - in - law, Helen Stetler of Willshire, OH; brother - in - law, Brent (Lisa) Stetler of Monroe, IN; sister - in - law, Sheri (Dave) Wannemacher of Willshire, OH; brother - in - law, Eric "Hot Dog" (Mendy) Stetler of Rockford, OH; 5 grandchildren: Elaina Ogg; Dylan Ogg; Josie Ogg; Easton Ogg; & Beckett Ogg. Mike was also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
Preceding Michael in death were his father - in - law, Jack Stetler & and niece, Candice Wannemacher.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016 in the Praise Point United Brethren Church with Pastor Mark Rutledge officiating.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in the Praise Point Church in Willshire, OH and one hour prior to services Thursday also at the church.
Preferred memorials are to Praise Point Church in Willshire, OH; and the grandchildren's education fund.
