Ray Alan Ross, 67 years old of Willshire, OH, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at his residence. His death was unexpected and was the result of natural causes.
He was born on Thursday, February 24, 1949 in Decatur, Indiana the son of Kenneth Ross and Donna (Tope) Ross.
Ray attended Praise Point Church in Willshire, Ohio and was a former member of the Moose Lodge #1311 in Decatur.
He was employed by General Electric in both Fort Wayne and Decatur for 35 years, retiring in November of 2003. He was also a former employee of the New Idea in Coldwater, Ohio prior to working at GE.
Ray greatly enjoyed NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon. He was a Cleveland Browns fan, a Cincinnati Reds fan, and an avid bowler.
Surviving are his parents, Kenneth & Donna Ross of Willshire, OH; brother, Donald L. Ross of Ohio City, OH; sister, Darla J. (Max) Case of Convoy, OH; brother, Michael K. (Janie) Ross of Willshire, OH; and sister, Karen S. (Terry) Tinkham of Decatur, IN.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2016 in the Praise Point Church in Willshire with Pastor Brad Kittle officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Rockford, OH.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 20 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.
Preferred memorials are to Praise Point Church in Willshire or Wren EMS.
