William Senko, Jr., 92 years old of Willshire, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Van Wert County Hospital.
He was born on Tuesday, September 4, 1923 in East Chicago, Indiana the son of the late William Senko, Sr. and the late Anna (Schedlar) Senko. He married Lois (King) Sipe on December 28, 1968 in and she preceded him in death on July 1, 2000.
William was a member of the American Legion Post #207 Homer Pearson in Willshire, Ohio.
He retired from the Chicago Public School System in 1985 with 15 years of service as a gym teacher and 15 years of service as a 6th grade teacher. He was a very accomplished musician playing the organ, piano, guitar and accordion.
Surviving are his step-son, Robert Sipe of Olympia, WA and four nephews and two nieces, Valerie Wilk of The Villages, FL; Lawrence Wilk of Lakemoor, IL; Margaret McMinn of Gulf Shores, AL; Donald Wilk of Appomattox, VA; George Wilk of Honolulu, HI; and Stephen Wilk of Bountiful, UT.
Preceding William in death were two brothers, John Senko & Mike Senko and three sisters, Mary Senko; Anna Senko; and Helen Wilk.
Per William's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Private burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City, Ohio.
