Temple W. Emerick

Temple W. Emerick, 87 years old of Decatur, IN, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016 in the Ossian Health & Rehabilitation Center located in Ossian, Indiana.

She was born on September 22, 1929 in Caneyville, KY. She is the daughter of the late Otis Hayes and the late Daisy (Embry) Hayes. Temple was united in marriage with Edward Emerick and he preceded her in death in 2003.

Surviving are her son, Sam (Joan) Wilker of DeSoto, TX; daughter, Linda Baker of New Paris, OH; son, Edward Emerick of Bluffton, IN; son, Virgil (Char) Emerick of Portland, IN; son, John (Wendy) Emerick of Decatur, IN; son, Michael (Traci) Emerick, MO; sister, Bonnie Lou Cook of Richmond, IN; sister, Carol Parkes, IA; sister, Pauline Dawning of Dayton, OH; sister, Geraldine "Gerri" Meddleton; sister, Loraine Stewart of Greenville, OH; Lucille Hickey of Greenville, OH; 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Preceding Temple in death was her son, Bobby Jo Wilker.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home - Decatur, with visitation 2 hours prior to services. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Ringger. Interment will follow in the Beery Cemetery, rural Decatur.
