She was born on March 29, 1928 in Glenmore, Ohio. Beth Ann was the daughter of the late Richard Rex Straw and Leona (Gehres) Straw. She married Robert “Bob” Davis on November 9, 1951 in Van Wert, Ohio and he preceded her in death in 1994. Prior to Beth Ann’s marriage she was an office worker at Central Mutual Insurance, but later became a homemaker.
Beth Ann enjoyed camping with her family and travel with her husband. She also collected coins and always was on the lookout for a special wheat head penny. She enjoyed sitting at a piano and playing anything from show tunes to patriotic marches. She also enjoyed animals and was especially fond of her cats that were referred to as her ‘faithful friends.’
She maintained the Straw family sweet tooth with a love of anything with milk chocolate and a Snickerdoodle cookie (or two).
She was a devoted wife, caring mother, loving grandmother and a doting great-grandmother, more affectionately known as “G.G.”
