Beverly A. Ehrsam, 77 years old of Decatur, Indiana, went peacefully to Jesus on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at her residence following a brief illness.
She was born on Saturday, June 3, 1939 in Allen County, Indiana the daughter of the late James E. Null and the late Hazel I. (Hoke) Null. She married Roy E. Ehrsam on March 9, 1968 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Beverly was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Decatur. Being a faithful Christian, she taught Sunday school and Missionary Cadets and held many leadership offices in every church she attended. Beverly was a charter member of the Decatur Christian Women's Club and held most offices. She also held many offices in school organizations when her children were in school. She enjoyed doing many needle point craft projects and also put many jigsaw puzzles together. Beverly and Roy loved to travel throughout the eastern and southern states.
She worked on the family dairy farm with her husband for 30 years and also was a carrier for the Journal Gazette Newspaper from 1986 to 1996. She was then at Scotts Deli as assistant manager for ten years retiring on September 30, 2006.
Surviving are her husband, Roy E. Ehrsam of Decatur, IN; daughter, Carrie (Tom) Bittner of Decatur, IN; daughter, Elizabeth Sisson of Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Rachel (Tony) Miller of Goshen, IN; daughter, Esther (Maurizo) Giambrone of New Albany, IN; son, Lee (Betsy) Ehrsam of Decatur, IN; and son, Theodore Ehrsam of Indianapolis, IN. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Bradly Bittner; Michelle (Dominick) Brown; Daniel Bittner; Paul Roy Sisson; Ryan Miller; Weston Miller; Autumn Miller; Salvatore Roy Giambrone; Kloe Ehrsam; Derek Ehrsam; Caleb Ehrsam; and Josie Ehrsam; a step-grandchild, Tatiana Giambrone; and a great-grandchild, Brooklynn Brown.
Preceding Beverly in death were a granddaughter, Ashley M. Bittner in 1998; a brother, Bird Null; and son-in-law, Tom Sisson in 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2016 in the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Harold Klinker, Pastor Ernie Suman, and Pastor Amy Covington officiating. Interment will follow in the Decatur Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 12 noon- 6pm, Sunday, October 30 in the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
