Martha J. "Marty" Grotrian, 77 years old of Monroeville, IN, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on Wednesday, April 26, 1939 in Maples, Indiana the daughter of the late Ervin "Butch" Grotrian and the late Ruth (Feasby) Grotrian.
Marty was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven and the Tokheim Quarter Century Club. She enjoyed IU college basketball, bowling, golf, and was a White Sox fan.
She was a graduate of New Haven High School and was employed at Tokheim Corporation for 35 years retiring in 2002. After her retirement from Tokheim, she worked at P & R Express for ten years and for the Tin Caps since March of 2015.
Surviving are her son, Stuart A. (Mary) Grotrian of Fort Wayne, IN; son-in-law, Brian Oberley of Monroeville, IN; grandson, Derrick W. Grotrian of New Haven, IN; sister, Mary Ann Grotrian of Fort Wayne, IN; and brother, Lynn D. (Sharon) Grotrian of Cedaredge, CO.
Preceding Marty in death was a daughter, Ann M. (Grotrian) Oberley.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven with Rev. David Stecker officiating. Interment will follow in the Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery in New Haven.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, November 28 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday .
Preferred memorials are to Worship for Shut-Ins; SCAN (Stop Child Abuse & Neglect); Allen County SPCA; or Parkview Hospice.
