Thomas E. "Tom" Kelley, 51 years old of Decatur, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born on Tuesday, December 14, 1965 in Decatur, Indiana the son of the late Robert Eugene Kelley and Linda L. (Conrad) Kelley.
He attended Salem United Church of Christ in Magley in his youth and then Word of God Community Church in Decatur.
Tom was lifelong mechanic having worked at Courtesy Motors, Denver's Garage and as a self-employed mechanic most recently. He was also previously employed at All American Homes in Decatur. He had attended Adams Central Community Schools and had a love for classic cars.
Surviving are his mother, Linda L. Barnes of Decatur; son, Adam (Valerie) Kelley of Decatur; daughter, Crystal (Corey Rhymer) Kelley of Decatur; son, Joshua (Bailey Gilbert) Barnes of Bluffton; sister, Tammy (Wes) Hitt of Decatur; five grandchildren, Salera; Sienna; Tundra; Abigail; and Zayne and baby Rhymer on the way. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, & cousins.
Preceding Tom in death were his father, Robert E. Kelley; his step-father, Earl Barnes; and grandparents, Harold & Florine Kelley and Walter & Edna Conrad.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Local Church (old Monmouth School) 251 W 850 N Decatur, IN 46733 with Pastor Rod Ovitt & Pastor Daniel Aguilar officiating. A meal will immediately follow at the church.
Family & friends will be received at Local Church (old Monmouth School) from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday.
