Rose Plumley, 85 of Matteson, Illinois passed away at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields, Illinois.
She was born on July 20, 1931 in Decatur, Indiana to Gregg and Dortha (Brittsan) Knittle.
Rose was employed at International Honeycomb in University Park, Illinois for 18 years and was a former member of Richton Park Church of the Nazarene in Richton Park, Illinois.
She is survived by six daughters, Nancy (Dave) Krick of Monroeville, IN; Gloria (Richard) Hahn of New Haven, IN; Joyce (Bob) Thomalla of Tinley Park, IL; Ruth Plumley of Matteson, IL; Coleen (Ed) Lynch of Mokena, IL; & Eileen (Dave) Paape of Steger, IL; two sons, Raymond (Jacqueline) Plumley & Bruce (Lisa) Plumley both of Monee, IL; three brothers, Carey (Marge) Knittle of MI; Max (Sheryl) Knittle of Willshire, OH; & Lisle (Mary) Knittle of Decatur, IN; sister, Lucille Cole of Decatur, IN; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, January 21, 2017 at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur , IN with Rev. Gary Hahn officiating. Burial will follow in the Decatur Cemetery.
Family & friends will be received from 12:30pm to 2pm on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or the Ronald McDonald House.
